FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Functions:
1.   Coi Nguon museum represents a cultural regulation, functioning on training and researching science by doing research, collecting items, taking stock, preserving, exhibiting, informing, developing the value of intangible or physical cultural heritage, of the natural historical specimens, introducing about the history of forming and developing the economy, culture and society of Phu Quoc, and responding to the demands to come, to do research, to study and to entertain of the citizen as well as the travellers.
2.   This is a private museum, functioning under the Cultural Heritage Law. Orgainzing regulations and activities of private museums are enforced by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST); the Department of Cultural Heritage and the Kieng Giang Administrator of Culture, Sports and Tourism are responsible for providing specialized guidance for the museum.
