Like other provinces in Mekong Delta, main groups of people in Phu Quoc are Kinh, Chinese-Vietnamese and Kh'mer. After years of living and working together, their customs are combined to produce very new and interesting customs and practices. Kinh people could visit Chinese pagodas; Kh'mer people have the same way of welcoming Tet like the Kinh ones, etc.
