After 16 years of researching, collecting, preserving and reconstructing, Coi Nguon museum has possessed many unvaluable properties related to the history of Phu Quoc in more than 300 years of discovery and developing.
Professor Vu Khieu, historian Duong Trung Quoc, researchers Nguyen Dac Xuan together with the authorities of Kien Giang province did come to visit Coi Nguon museum in its opening ceremony, which is a significant motivation for the developing and introducing Phu Quoc to the world.
Being the first private museum in the Mekong delta, Coi Nguon realizes its important role and responsibility in preserving activities, providing visitors’ good knowledge of Phu Quoc and in continuing developing traditional value obtained in these 300 years.
Activities held at Coi Nguon museum are not only restricted in the province but also spreaded out among other places and to other countries. The aims of these activities are to increase the number of researching, preserving the value of intangible or physical cultural heritage, natural heritage, open museums, etc. The management of Coi Nguon also aim to establish entertaining parks and eco-tourism resorts, which are friendly to the environment.
Coi Nguon museum is willing to cooperate with every museum in the country and all over the world as well as any organization to attain the main goals: developing historic values and preserving precious antiques together with wild animals which are being threatened to go extinct in Phu Quoc.
